Exedy Twin Disc for daily driving?

I'm looking for people with experience with the exedy hd twin disc clutch. Do you think it's daily driveable? I've never had a twin disc in anything so i'm not too sure of the driveability.

I just picked up a 03 with a 6 speed swap and a blown transfer case. Imagine my suprise when I check out the clutch and it's a exedy twin disc! I'm thinking about switching it out for an ACT with a stock flywheel... Opinions?

Thanks!

Switching out the twin disc for an ACT/stock flywheel combo would be regressing big time. Keep the twin disc if it's in good shape...me and the majority of Evo's we install clutches in all use the Exedy twin HD, all daily driven Evo's as well.

I DD mine. (exedy twin hd) Im used to it now. At first my car always stall but after a month I got used to it. I also go to 1/4 mile 2x a month. If the disk is bad just get a rebuild kit.

get an QuarterMaster twin disk Exedy is total junk man
QuarterMaster can hold way more hp/tq, is a push style clutch and is cheaper and easy to DD (overall better I THINK)
with exedy you have to buy the conversion to make it push style and thats like 1000-1200$ extra on top of the clutch being wat? 1300-1650 price range?

Awsome, ok guys, the clutch is pretty much flawless besides some face plate damage from installing the trans (at least I think/hope, lol). I guess i'll DD it!

And 1nastyMR, I got it for free technically so i'm not too concerned about cost, lol.

Besides, can you even use a push style clutch on a 6 speed? I didn't think anybody had a conversion piece for the hydraulic TOB to mount to a 6 speed yet...

Yep, the exedy twin is sure a winner on my book. Over 500+whp & 450+trq and still grabs like a mother (for now ).
