I'm typing from the car so please excuse any typo's. We are not running Yoko's, financially we couldn't afford 6 Yokohama NEvo's, they are $270/ea which I coulnd't justify for just one event. We chose the Kuhmo MX's which are a great dry tire but had mixed review in the wet. Well apparently they suck in the wet! Everyone came up to us after the event and told us how much those tires suck in the wet...damn. The car should have been faster around the skid pad than last years car for sure, it's about 200lbs lighter and has a good alignment.
We did well at Joliet, I think we'll be around 10th place. It was Jon's first time really driving the car hard and he's never been to that track. We did have a little brake trouble and we bled the brakes in the pits and had a bit of air and some cloudy **** came out in the rear. After that we packed up and headed out. We're now on our way to Mid America Motorplex (West Iowa) and should be there about 3am. Wish us luck!

-Martin

I am sure once jon becomes a little more adapted to the car we will be placing a lot better. It's still early in the event so we will see.

Thanks to everybody who came out and showed support means a lot to the AMS crew..

Off to Mid America.. we actually got 3 hours of sleep in a hotel tonight.. not bad, but the next leg is 1,150 miles.. so I doubt we will get a hotel.

The suspension is soft yes. I would want stiffer springs, but thats a product of having to tune the car, other than it not being ideal, I won't call it a problem. The brakes did fade, but we went through it with a good bleed, got some moisture out of the back, so I don't anticipate that happening again.

On the good notes, the engine mounts are AWESOME. the car puts power down so smoothly without the engine moving back and forth, and the power curve is perfect. It is a big improvement on last year, and is really helping me come off the corners better.

I will try to post tonight, if not me then Martin, he has internet access from his phone.

Ma,n me and Lexat20 headed out to Autobahn and got there at like 4:15 and the AMS car was already off the track, we were upset, but it was definetly cool to see the car up close. Best of luck to AMS, lets see a 1st place finish! (Btw that blue viper is SICK)
