AMS Catback Exhaust Question.
I tried to do a search but couldn't find the answers to my questions.
Basically. I have an 03 EVO and I want to get the AMS Catback exhaust. I was wondering if the AMS Catback bolts directly to the factory Cat? If so is it still technically 3" all the way or does it neck down?
The reason I ask is I will be getting an AMS 50trim turbo kit in the future which comes with the downpipe. So I will just be getting a highflow cat to complete the full 3" exhaust. Thanks.
Also, I am local so do you have the catback in stock?

You can install the catback without getting the rest of the exhaust but its not concidered a 3" exhaust.
You will need the downpip and high flow cat or test pipe to make it a full 3 inch pipe.
Props to AMS for shattering glass with your exhaust system, I love this exhaust, good choice! If you can buy the turbo back do that all at once, saves a bit on labor too.

Thier cat-back does bolt on to the stock cat by use of a short 3" pipe with a 2 bolt flange on one end and a 3 bolt flange on the other. If you're goin with the 50 trim I'd get the catback system now and when you get the turbo all you'll need for a full 3" TBE is a cat or test pipe.

You shouldnt even need an adapter! if you buy their catback it will bolt right up to your cat and if you decide to buy the rest later that will bolt right up to! I have this exhaust with the test pipe and let me tell you that you couldnt pick a better exhaust system
Yes, we have an adaptor that bolts to the factory cat and then to the cat back exhaust...
The factory cat is flanged for 3" 2 bolt so from that point back, it will be 3" with the AMS system...
