Hmm, lets see: Group buy turbo kit = 4000.00 / meth kit = 700.00 / & less than 1500.00 for the install & tuning. Total was around $6500.00 after taxes & 10 gallons of meth. Not to bad for conservativly adding around 160 awhp...

Good Stuff; congrats. Did you happen to dyno at AMS before the 50trim and Meth was installed? Wondering how much the exhaust cam and FMIC would help out my current setup - before the turbo upgrade which I can't afford.

Any comments on how fast you are going through a 'tank' (?) of meth and how much for a refill?

Doesn't look like your spooling as quick as you originally said. From the dynograph, aren't you hitting peak torque at closer to 4800 RPM? Not criticizing, I think that's a normal spool for a 50 trim to 27 psi on a stock 2.0

^ theres no way that thing hits peak boost at only 3500 rpms, more like 4300.

The graph shows HP & torque. My boost gage shows the max of what I have the boost set at when it 3500-3600 RPMs weather it be 25, 27, or 30 PSI. Lets go for a spin & Ill show ya.

The dyno shows peak torque around 4500ish, but the dyno doesn't load the car the same way as if it were on the street. I bet that max boost comes in much quicker than the dynograph suggests. Great numbers

BTW, Meth will make the turbo Spool faster. Without meth you might have a tad bit more lag.

Has anyone used ALKYCONTROL? I have used the kits with great results.

^ a 3076 on a stroker will make peak tq right around 4k, mine on pump gas makes 360 at 4k.

Also its a IX so the mivec probably helps with the fast spoolup too. Honestly it spools just as soon as the stock turbo. It holds boost alot better with almost no boost droppage by redline (could be due to the TIAL Wastegate & GREDDY Blowoff valve???). As far as meth usage goes, the meth starts pumping when I hit 8 PSI of boost. Im guessing that for 1 minute of being in boost at 8 PSI or more I use about 1 1/2 gallons of meth. Its hard to have 1 minute of boost time during my average commute or rant around town so its not too costly meth wise. I got 10 gallons of VP Racing M-1 (meth) from AMS when I picked up the car, I think it was about 35-40 bucks for a nice 5 gallon can. I try not to drive in the rain so finally my windshield washer tanks gets some use...

Yes I did dyno at AMS earlier this summer when I got the JUN 264 exhaust cam, the FMIC & piping, injectors, & fuel pump - fuel rail. It put down about 335awhp & the torque was within about 15lbs. of the awhp (another supposedly conservative tune). I dont think the cam gave it more power but it definatly helped quite a bit on the low end power exspecially b-4 the boost kicks in. I cant tell if the FMIC did anything, but it has alot more volume than the stocker so Im sure it has knocked down heat soaking issues alot (its gotta be better than the stocker during repetitive boosting). Also the AMS FMIC looks KILLER sweet!!! I reccomend both the cam & the FMIC for those who must mod!!!
