Question on AMS upper ic pipe

I am trying to install the AMS upper IC pipe with the flange for the stock BOV. It is three pieces and the middle piece has a bracket. I can't figure out where the bracket screws to. It appears to just hang in the air.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it is the right piece since AMS isn't open until Monday.

NO.. dont do that.. it bolts onto the transmission, it is there to reinforce the location of the pipe so that it will not blow off if you run high boost.

It bolts on with the clutch slave cylinder. Remove the drivers side bolt for the clutch slave cylinder and position the bracket over that hole and then replace the bolt. This will keep the IC piping away from the battery kit and position the pipes properly.

Neither does mine, but definitely a good idea. We all know the POP sound and the aggravation of being totally stuck (unless you ditched the stock ECU like me and can drive home NA)

Anyone happen to have a picture? I've looked and all I see is a bolt about half way down the casing. That's a good six inches below where the bracket is. Maybe I put the pipe together wrong but i can't imagine it fitting backwards.

The brackets are a recent addition to our upper pipe kit. It helps locate the IC pipe and keep the center coupler from rubbing on the small battery kit tray. Our first run of bracketed IC pipes were done for the 5 speed transmission and bolted to an available threaded hole in the case. The 6 speed is a compleatly different case and does not have that hole. We changed the bracket location to a spot that is comon to both transmissions so the pipe will work on both 5 and 6 speed transmissions. This is the drivers side bolt that holds the clutch slave cylinder on.

Here is for 6 speed. 5 Speed goes a little further up for the bracket.

Actually all the pipes (both 6 speed and 5 speed) mount in the same location now. There were just a few pipes that were made for the 5 speed only and those were installed in house.

Refer to the picture above for proper location for the bracket.
