AMS Alky kit

methanol is alcohol. Just a racing fuel form of alcohol. Then you have denatured, rubbing alcohol, 50/50, and the guys who trust in ghettozone to sell 10 jugs for 10 bucks mixed. Who knows what your getting
I run straight alcohol and have for years. Never a failure. Actually it has saved me more often than not. I also know what to look for. In the 80's GM experimented with the monte carlo ss with a small nitrous kit and also in the turbo regals had a power injection feature on the dash bezel. They never followed through with the injection as it was hard enough to sell a car that required a premium fuel and expect every owner to "ALWAYS" put 92 or 93 octane in. Much less keep an extra fuel/octane source filled. So the liability is there. You have to look at the base hp that your vehicle puts down. Then do the math on how far your going to take it. Then expect less reliabilty. Part of racing. I have seen a large injector fail which led to a catastrophic piston failure. Do we stop using bigger injectors? No! We as consumers learn to make as many decisions possible to keep a failure from happening. As a large company with many different things going on an owner has to keep reliability and image very high. Just my take on things.
