Justin is in the middle of the cage and should be bringing me some pictures of it Friday.

honestly I dont think we have weighed them.
I got word from Justin today that he was running a little behind. He will be in tomorrow with plenty of cage pictures to post up.

seems like it is comming along great! thanks for sharing the build up process. To bad this isn't like spike tv where they have the whole thing built painted and running in 2 shows. lol
I think it's looking great. How close to completion is the cage? Obviously those pics are only tack welded but is there more traingulation etc to happen? Not trying to be critical, but the foot plates for the cage seem mighty thin. I fully understand the need to go lightweight, but even with the plate and the body skin that's not a lot of material at the floor mounting points. Is there more there on the underside that I'm just not seeing?
Again, its looking really cool and I'm anxious to see the finished product.

I am sure there is more to come since it doesn't even have door bars yet.
Why did you guys put the main hoop so far back? Getting it back for more room is obvious but that far back seems like it would hinder the drivers view a decent amount. Just curious.
They did it to move the driver back. That helps with weight distribution and also you can feel what the back end of the car is doing better. Another added benefit is that it forces the driver to look ahead a bit better since your short distance forward visibility is taken away a little.
Instead of time attack, it'll be Shaq Attack!
