AMS Starts its Second Time Attack car TA2
Maybe try something like Opera Performance... factory sheet metal welded over factory sheet metal for twice rigidity, and only in targeted areas. eg: the front strut area... door frame area... rear subframe mounts...
maybe make a full carbon undertray as well...

First off its not cheap costs will greatly depend on your costs of hauling the carcass to the shop and back.
Word of caution, if your 240sx had any weak panels after an acid dip you'll get swiss cheese for a return. Also if the caustic solution isn't properly neutralized it will weep back out through any new paint you put on it.
On topic:
If they will post pictures of it I'd love to see how much metal they are going to be able to rip out of this race car.

Hey.....thats Micah's old car.
Glad to see its gonna live on being a beastly time attack car and not rust to death.
Looking forward to seeing the progress....

holy crap, this is gonna be one killer of a car. i can't wait to see what comes out of it though and am definately staying tunned into this thread for future developments. considering what all they did with their other evo and then saying they weren't even being serious with it and now it is time to get serious i can only imagine what this monster is going to turn out like.......wow. <drools>

Call around for the acid stripping. We found a large difference in price and time frames. We had to travel a bit but found a good place that was quick and reasonably priced.
FYI, the Evo shell dropped 40 lbs at the acid stripper.
