Dumb question?

I am planning to get a custom dyno tune after I purchase and install a TBE and fuel pump. My question is, if I want to run at 20psi do I need some sort of boost controller or can you guys tune that parameter into my factory ECU? I don't want to buy a BC if I don't need it. Thanks guys.

we can alter your factory boost lines to get you to run 20 psi. An aftermarket controller will help you hold more to redline though.

Thanks for the replys. I should of been more specific about the boost taper. I want to hold 20psi all the way to redline, so with my qustion answered I purchased a hallman pro rx mbc today and I will hopfully see you guys at ams later in the year. Thanks again.

I'm sure it's mentioned in an install thread somewhere but the light spring they will send you for the Hallman is worthless (good to about 17psi). Use the heavy one.

you will not be able to get it to hold 20 all the way to redline. The IX tapers off near the top. In the 20 plus we have dynoed we have never been able to get it to hold that high on pump gas. We can get it close but not make it hold 20 to redline.

As long as I can get it close I'll be happy for now. If I need to upgrade to an EBC or something else later I will. Thanks to all for the advice.
