Please Help,wastegate, Boost Control ?

Well, I have decide to ask everyone sence I am not getting answers! I just got the AMS 50 trim kit, and I have the EVC boost controler. I have no idea how to hook it up to the external wastegate . I already tried to read the intructions for the EVC and I also tried to search and I am not getting any answers. I already no that the lower nipple on the wastegate is to control the boost. I dont no where and if you have to use the to nipple on the wastegate. I have 3 hoses from the EVC. I know that 1 goes to the bov and The other goes to the bottom of the wastegate to control boost. But with the EVC, it uses boost and vaccum to control the wastegate, Is there somewhere to get the boost source from other than welding a nipple on the lower intercooler pipe like on the stock format. I no people have had trouble with this please help. How do you caliberate after hook up?

Please Help!!!!!!!!

Ivan, one of our technicians is going to pop in here shortly and try to help you out.

There was no diagram in the instructions?

It wants two sources of boost one before and after the throttle plate.

Personally I can't imagine the reason for that and would probably just end up using a another T and using the same location for both sources of boost to make the unit happy.

I am assuming that you have and HKS EVC of some sort.

I would suggest that the easiest way to hook it up would be single port. You need to hook the small port on the WG stepper motor to the intake manifold. T'd into the BOV line would be fine. For pre EVC 5, you would then hook the middle port of the stepper motor to the side port on the WG. The last port on the stepper motor needs to go to your compressor housing. There should be a brass 90° fitting in the housing to hook a boost line to. If you have an EVC 5 or newer, you need to hook the middle port to the compressor housing and the last port to the side port on the WG.

Make sure your EVC is set for single port (swing, internal, etc) and your good to go.

Ivan

If your turbo dident have a nipple for pressure source for the MBC/EBC then use a ATP quick tap or have one welded on by a welder to your LICP.

The compressor housing is tapped and will either have a plug in it or a barb fitting. If it is plugged, you can swap that for a barb fitting or you can get your boost source from another source.

Thanks for the help, I did not know that a boost controller would give so much grief. But You have to expect everything. Thanks for the advice, I ordered a nipple for the compressor wheel and I am going to tape into that. SEE you March 1st AMS for the tune, Hope my car isnt going to explode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
