Redline Time Attack Gateway St. Louis

A little update from the track:

We finished up practice and we're ready for our first timed session.
So far our fastest time in has been 1:02.9 We're pretty far ahead of the competition so I think I'll keep the same tune in it and we might go to kill mode on our second times session just to see what it will do.

Wish us luck and hopefully the car holds up and the rain stays away!

-Martin

Well first time session bad luck struck,
The very first lap Mark radioed in that the throttle is sticking! He brought it and and we noticed the throttle is hanging half open. We ripped the throttle body off and one of the throttle plate screws came off!! WTF!!! It's a stock throttle body that has never been apart. Luckily we found the screw laying on the bottom of the intake manifold. Half hour later Eric Jones had it back together with some lock-tite on the screws and now she's back up and running.

BTW I looked at the datalogg and Mark must have sheit in his pants. The throttle stuck down the main straight at 152 mph!!! Who would have predicted a stock throttle body plate coming apart. It just shows you how much abuse track cars take and how common stuff that would never fail in normal conditions can break or come loose. Oh well, we still have one more timed session and hopefully it doesn't rain.

Well luck finally smiled upon us and the was mostly dry. Even though it was a green track and grip wasn't the same as the morning session we ran a 1.03.6 winning the unlimited class and overall grand champ. I left the tune alone as with the track a little slick the extra power wouldn't do much. Mark Daddio did a great job and thanks for all the crew for putting together a great machine!

AMS FTW!!!

It was great being out there seeing the AMS evo in action. Congratulations! Noticed you had a camera in the car. Any chance of an upload?

What were the times for the Street class then? I wasn't able to make it out and am curious.

I was there, they only ran one session because of the rain. I believe it was lower than 1:12...
