Question re: AMS fuel rail
Question re: AMS fuel rail
I just received an AMS fuel rail today for my wife's Evo IX. When I ordered it from AMS, I was told that it is compatible with the stock fuel feed/return lines. However, after looking at this fuel rail I don't see how that is possible without other parts. Here is a pic of the fuel rail (borrowed from another forum member
):

As you can see, there is an opening on each side of the fuel rail and it looks like some sort of bracket with an AN fitting is attached. I haven't looked at the stock configuration, but I doubt it has the fittings which attach to this fuel rail without some sort of modification.
Am I wrong here? Do I need to order a(n) additional part(s)?

All you should have to do is remove the old return line and regulator from the old rail and transfer it over. Then on the drivers side slide the feed line in and tighten the bolts. Im not sure what bracket with a/n fitting you are seeing
It turns out that AMS sent me their fuel rail for their 1000hp kit and it is not compatible with the stock fuel setup. They are going to send me their fuel rail which was designed to work with the stock setup.
