^^^yep it stills uses the belt. which if the belt snap, big problem. Also the reason why people eliminate the balance.

1: Zero chance the B-Belt will fail and kill the timing belt
2: Zero chance the balance shaft bearings will fail and all the shaving will get throw vy the balance shaft to the crank and damage the rest of the motor.

I don't mean to be rude but your information is completely incorrect.

With the AMS race balance shaft kit the belt is eliminated along with the shaft that was driven by it. We have the counterweight machined off of the shaft that is driven by the oil pump. Once that is done it can be re-installed so that you have all of the support of the full balance shaft without all of the weight.

my bad in belt info. Scott.

but it still doesn't eliminate the balance shaft bearing failure and throw shaving on the crank. i'm right or wrong ?

One bearing is still being used but its fed oil directly from the oil pump by the balance shaft so it is very unlikely. But then again the crank or rod bearings are being used to. Technically anything COULD fail.

Alright guys I updated the store page for the kit. The kit is sold on a core charge basis so if you can send in your good balance shaft then the price of the kit is $150. The kit can still be bought outright for $300.

On the website it shows $164.95. Also what is the purpose of the "Pulley Eliminator" Option? I don't see any details of this on the website. Thanks!

The pulley eliminator is a spacer that goes in place of the balance shaft pulley that is on the crankshaft. It weighs about 1/4 of what the full pulley weighs.
