Will this intercooler fill up the bumper a bit more on evo 8s?

Ive just seen the old design left alot of space around the front bumper.

 

Hoping to get this new design when it comes out, finally have cash lol

 

Have cash in Bank... Looking to buy one of these new FMIC's.

I think they want to clear out their inventory before building any with the cast end tanks

 

we are very close.

What are the theoretical advantages you are hoping to see over your current sheet metal fmic? I am curious. Either way count me in...be happy to be on board as long as its out this summer.

I've read that many times. I understand how the airflow across the core works. One thing that that interests me is even though the cast endtanks induce a more laminar airflow the sheetmetal design uses center entry/exit which actually utilizes the whole core. This is where honestly in my opinion where all the other intercooler's on the market fail except for on the dyno which is really not a proper way to measure what the intercooler is capable of.

So that is why I asked what advantages they were looking for. I more curious to see if they changed the core size, where the entry/exit is going to be, and possibly if they will have any AIT testing. Obviously it is expecting alot but the caliber of AMS I have no doubt it is going to fulfill expectations.

 

Any new updates? I'm looking to buy a fmic but am holding off for now for the new one.
