Question re: BOV & EMS
Question re: BOV & EMS
I have your intercooler piping with TIAL BOV. I'm running AEM ems with speed density but planning to switch back to the stock ECU with a custom tune. Do i have to replace the i/c piping and put in a recirculating bov or do i have other options?
Also, i have a greddy Ti exhaust with a hiflow cat. It's always been loud but recently has been attracting a lot of attention. what are my options? i'd really like to quiet it down. Can i put the stock catback on? I know i'll lose power, but not sure how much.. i'm probably going to have to get a retune if i go with a set up like this but really open to know what other options i have.
this is for a evo 8.
thanks

You can purchase just the upper part of the IC piping with the stock BOV flange on it so you can run a stock recirculating BOV. I would recommend running the stock Evo 9 BOV with our BOV extension kit to vent the air back in to the intake pipe.
You can see if greddy offers a silencer for the muffler on the exhaust as we do for ours. It will definitely quiet the exhaust down quite a bit. If they don't, then you can put your stock catback on only if the high flow cat will bolt up to the stock catback section. I would convert everything at once so you only have to get one retune on the stock ECU instead of several.
