im putting a aftermarket bov on the ic pipe.. what do i use to plug up to bov tube on the turbo pipe? since nothing is going to be there

 

your bov should come with a cap...

heard tylenol bottle cap works... U know who you are.

 

If you aren't running enough boost and vent to aptmosphere, Your car will shut off...At least thats what happened to me...

 

i seem people route the bov tube to the upper ic pipe... does that effect anything? or is that wrong

 

home depot mod... grab a copper one though... i had a plastic pvc pipe cap on it... it melted... it also made me realize that we need catch cans... there was so much gunk under that cap... it was sickening

You can't vent to aptmosphere if your boost is still around stock level, get a BOV with a recirculate system, I"m running the Greddy type S and it's workin great, but you decide. Just make sure it's a recirc. BOV.

Yes you can... Just get a EIDS(electronic Idle Stabalizer) You can VTA ALL day no stalling or hesatation @ all! its about 125 bucks. HKS makes them.

 

ya...i heard people running vta with no problem... i guess every evo is unique...if i have problem with mine..i'll be buying the EIDS

can i run a tube from the bov outlet on the induction pipe to the inter cooler pipe?

 

I'll sell you custom fabricated blow-off valve recirc tube caps... I can even draw a smiley face on it... ship me a bottle of Tylenol and I'll only charge $10. =]

 

Sorry, didn't mean to give bad info... never heard fo the EIDS...but I asked some buddies and they agree with you.

 

so if u get an aftermarket bov u have to run higher boost or it wont idle well and stall?

 

In me and my roomate's evo's, we tried to run a VTA BOV(turboXS), and we stalled all the time at an idle. Our guy that tunes for us said we didn't have a high enough boost to run them and that we should get a Recirc BOV. With the Greddy Type S, no problems at all. But like the guys said earlier you can buy an EIDS($125) and still run a VTA BOV. I must admitt, the TurboXS was LOUD!!!! Scared some people at the bus stop with it all the time, but I am still satisfied with my Greddy Type S. Depends on how much you wanna spend...

 

i got the dual valve turbosmart and love it but i did put a golf ball in the horn to change the sound a little. it's truely pimp open the hood and there is a nike one looking at you.
