AMS Sponsored Hill Climb Car Sets a New Record
Decided to convert the PPIHC Evo back to gravel spec for the weekend and go for a record since we missed out on one at PPIHC this year due to a crash mid-way up the road.
The car has some damage from PPIHC, but thankfully many of the parts damaged were from 'tarmac spec' so it was just a matter of swapping parts to get it back up and running.
The AMS powerplant with high altitude MoTeC tuning hasn't missed a beat all season and has provided as much power as we could make use of (arguably too much on dirt). This hillclimb goes from 8,500 feet at the startline to ~10,500 in just over two miles...its straight up!
