There was much more AWD Mirage/Lancers before them...
But... this thread is uner the "AWD Lancer (2012 +)" section... and there was no 2012+ AWD Lancers except Evolutions

I saw a 1G AWD DSM for sale several years ago that the owner had removed the turbo from, leaving a low-compression (8.5:1) 4G63 with an automatic trans and working AWD. It was slower than a stock 1.8 liter DSM.

He must have had a non-turbo parts car to cannibalize, because it would be cheaper to buy a used stock turbo than to buy the oil pan, exhaust manifold, downpipe, water pipe, intake plumbing, etc. that he had put on to completely remove the turbo.
