No 18" wheel option in Canada

I will delighted to hear earlier that changes were coming to the Lancer. But this one i am still scratching my head about. For 2012, None of the Lancer trims have 18 inch wheels. Only 16 inch.

Strange. But true.

Thats okay though now us guys with the 08 lancers have rims that we can sell for more money . Nice AWD but we have 18'' rims lol and not to mention you can only get the AWD in auto

i test drove the cvt awd lancer.. and aside from not having the fun clutch feel.. it was just as fun to drive as my evo mr. If i wanted a daily driver that was ... well ... MUCH better on gas than my MR I'd have to say the "impreza" equivalant of the Lancer AWD is a decent buy for whats under the hood.. interior is a desaster... but so is my mr in many ways. Other wise pretty darn fun for the price/performance/value factor.

side note.. i drove it in the snow with all season's and still was not able to 4 wheel drift it... maybe i was doing something wrong.. or granny mode couldn't be completely taken off. ps i'm in canada and very much a drifting type day!

Probably a decision that was based on the fact that our roads are absolutely HORRIBLE compared to those in the US, that extra rubber ain't such a bad idea, except for those of us that love the low profile look.
I for one will be adding 18" wheels to my 2013 GT-AWC in the spring.
