So, my 2012 Lancer SE suddenly wont start. This happened the other day, I turn the key and all of the lights and head unit work, but wont crank. I get no sound at all. Then I came back a few hours later and it started fine. Now, it's done it again, but wont start at all. I changed the battery a few months ago, but it has ran fine since, until this. The only thing I've done since is removed the dead battery in my key fob. It was already dead or dead enough to not unlock the car, and I was too lazy to replace it, so I took it out to see what type it is. Does the 2012 have any sort of immobilizer that wont let the car start without the key fob? I've tested the battery, alternator, and starter and everything looks fine. When it started the last few times, it acted and sounded normal. I appreciate the help! My car is immobile.
