Brand new to forums.
Not a Lancer owner, but I'm in the GVRD!!!

Looking at the Ralliart with 162 hp
Interested in talking with fellow Ralliart owners.

1) Reliability? This is my main concern. Mitsu's aren't up there with other Japanese manufacturers, from what I know.
2) Do they have body roll?
3) Where are they made?

And... how are the Mitsubishi dealerships in BC? Should I avoid any? Are they flexible in price? I'm hoping to get 2k off of MSRP if I could.

I just came off of a Mazda 3 test drive, but found out about the Lancer RA only a few days ago. Just interested in how it (RA) fairs.

1) The Lancer is the baby brother of the Lancer Evolution which is about as hardcore rally as you get. Reliability should not be a problem.

2) I myself drive a Lancer ES which is the base model. Although I haven't pushed it really hard yet, I haven't noticed body roll being a problem. The Ralliart comes with a sway bar in the back that I don't have.

3) All Lancers, Outlanders and Montaros are made in Japan and imported. I believe the rest are imported as parts and assembled in the USA.

From my test drives I believe that Mitsubishi has rated the power on the 2.4L Mivec a little higher than it feels. Still worth the extra $$$ over an ES, LS or OZ with the 2.0L though. The Ralliart guys would know better then me though.

I bought my Lancer at North Shore Mitsubishi. All around an excellent group of people there and have no problems recommending them. I've heard horror stories about Vancouver Mitsubishi, and nothing at all about Wolfe since only a couple people have bought cars there.

Lancers are also HIGHLY tuneable and aftermarket parts are numerous and high quality. Turbos are available.

how about support, in terms of mechanics? Anyone know any good shops that specialize in Lancers?

So... if I read it right, Lancer parts are made in Japan, and then assembled in the USA, correct?

Lancers, Outlanders and Montaros are made AND assembled in Japan. The rest are assembled in the USA but made in Japan.

I only have 1200km on my Lancer, so someone else will have to comment on mechanics.

1.) reliability issue, my old lancer is like 8 years back, evo2 model back in indo, not a single problem, just do your routine maintanance and there shouldnt be any problem.

2.) body roll is mild, not like old lancers maybe because of the stiffer suspension and all, even though we have the same rear sway bar as the oz's, ralliart dont roll that much.

3.) its made and assembled in japan, good stuff

i'm at 5600km in my ralliart, no complains, everything is good, gearbox is smoother, the car pulls very well.

i've had lots of compliments from my friends(mind you most of them doesnt drive anything that has 4 cylinders, its all about 6 cynliders and above stuff like m3, e500, sl 55, souped up x5, rich *****) most of my friends thought that i have a v6 in my car
