Brokerage Fee

Hay, i ordered a bunch of parts from RRM a couple of months ago.
Anyway, need to ask all you Canadians out there that ordered from them too. Was there a $100 brokerage fee to follow a month after you received your stuff?

Seriously, this is a kick in the *** especially a month later when they say your payment is over due. WTF?

Hit me back and tell me if this happened to you guys. I don't get it.

i had springs sent via UPS, and yes there was a $84 duty fee. but that is to be expected. no fees after a month though.

it doesn't matter how you get it shipped here, the point is that UPS "owns" the border when it comes to product entering Canada, that's why they charge you a fee. Basically you are paying for them to get it through customs faster and without a hustle. you can read all about it online, they are rather informative.

their site says they carry GM stuff and it is also useless for finding parts. don't wanna sit on the phone for half hour just to find out if they have anything

Yes any of those courier companys like UPS and Fedex will rape you with their brokerage fees.

If you get anything shipped from the USA always try to get them to mail it with US Postal. Canada post only will only charge $5 for brokerage when it arrives. Sometimes you can try getting small parts sent up labeled as samples and that gets it in without any extra charges.

i noticed that small parts don't need anything written on them that i'm aware of. my eyelids, clear reflectors, and some o-rings have come through the mail for me without any fees at all
