Just wondering if anyone is expecting their Lancer to be arriving Mid Aug?

I ordered a white 5-spd GTS w/ sun and sound mid June from Ajax Mitsu and it's supposed to be here Mid Aug.

Called last week and said it left Japan already but no VIN so I'm guessing it ain't in Canada yet.

Anyone else's car on the same shipment?

 

Mine might possibly be.

Ordered June aswell and the dealership here in Edmonton told me to expect it in Canada on the 16th of Aug. They called me the 16th and didn't say 'yes' but said they expect it to be in the country. Should get to Edm near the end of the month.

 

I called my dealership Aug.15th and got..."Good news, your car is in Canada" But had no idea where and still didn't have the VIN. They said by the end of the month. The car better be in my possession next week.. I'm already pissed

 

You should have a VIN number by now if it's in Canada otherwise the dealership is just lying to you. You definitely would not be getting it next week if it just arrived in Vancouver but I doubt it is in Vancouver.

 

The only reason they didn't give me the VIN is because he didn't to give me the wrong VIN. Not like it has happened, but he just wanted to wait until the car got there.

 

They should have the VIN by now because usually they use either that number or the VON number to track the vehicle.

 

Yeah. He said he has the VIN but doesn't want to possibly give me the wrong one.

 

Anyone get their VIN yet? I have a feeling these guys are lying to me because everyone I speak to says the same thing about getting the VIN. As soon as it hits the port in Vancouver the dealer should have the VIN.

I'm gonna call today for another "update" and see what they say this time.

 

Mine got to Edmonton lastnight and they will have it ready for pick-up on Wednesday. Still no VIN till tomorrow because some vehicles had the wrong tags on or something? They have to sort out which one is who's.

 

Just went to the dealership after work and got the VIN and looked at the car. As of tomorrow at 4pm it's mine.
