8000vs10000k

I am getting HIDs tmr and have the choice between 8000 and 10000k. I was just wondering if the 10000k purplish lights are actually illegal.

cheers

6000K is more white, 8000 bluish hue. 10,000 is probably purplish (could getyou pulled over).

btw, the higher "K" you go, the less bright the light is

Moving up from 3000-10000K, you're essentially moving the light from yellow to purple. Human eyes are best at picking up yellow to white light, this is why fog lights tend to be yellow. While the lights are just as bright, they put out less useable light. If you're doing this because you want brighter lights, stick to 3000 or 4000K. If you want ricer lights, go for 8000 to 10000K.

I agree, these guys need to update their definition of Ricer. Especially the guy who says anything over 4000K is rice then if you have a BMW or Benz that comes stock with 6000K you're automatically a ricer?

I'm sorry but if you're buying HIDs just to get that look, you're a ricer.
