Any Toronto RA owners?
Any Toronto RA owners?
just wondering if anyone has bought a RA in the GTA?
2 dealers that I've been to that have them (Markham, Newmarket) are clueless about them other then providing the base and premium prices...no idea about any other options etc.
Did you have any luck in haggling and how was the experience with the dealer.

I live in Brampton but will be heading to Burlington Mitsubishi to talk price on the Ralliart. I received excellent service (especially patience) with the salesman from Burlington.
However last week for fun, I did go to the Brampton location to talk numbers since they had the Ralliart on display Out the door taxes in came at 39k. This was with recaros and sunroof only. With nav this thing was totalling near 44k. I didn't care to negotiate as I wasn't as serious but they didn't seem to willing to budge unless paid in cash probably.
However a friend of mine negotiated a base ralliart with a different guy, at 35k flat taxes in, on the 60/84 plan but at 0%!? . Biweekly came to about 250, with 5k balloon payment due at 60 months. The sales guy was also including $500 gas card, free tints, and a 2 person 1 week cruise. I couldn't believe it. When I told the salesman I was dealing with, his face turned ghost.
These guys do have some play, you just have to be willing to walk out a few times. I asked about a possible aero kit, but no word on that. Not many options at the moment other than sunroof and/or nav. No leather option yet either.

base $32998 (with HID, regular Recaros) and
premium $38248,
+$250 PDI
+$1245 DESTINATION/HANDLING.
Total MSRP for the premium which has leather Recaros, sunroof, navi, FAST, is $39493. The sunroof is standard on the premium model, along with the leather Recaros and navi. Are you sure the $39K out the door wasn't for the base model, which makes more sense.
Financing through Mitsu was at 5.8% for the Evo and RA...once again are you sure about the 0% Even on their financing sheet it was showing 5.8%, but 0% for all regular Lancers
This is not the best shot but its from the sticker on the RA Premium at Markham.
Last week I test drove the white base RA at Markham...the thing is sweeeeeet! The exhaust sound on it is really nice, kinda low tone. Cruising at 120kph i think the tach was spinning at just a hair over 3000rpm. Even though it had the crappy no-season tires on it it still gripped the road quite well, no squealling, although I didn't quite beat the sh_t out of it. I was quite satisfied with the slight amount of body roll the thing had. Theres a little bit of turbo lag I thought, right up till like about 1800rpm, but not a big deal. The thing accelerates really nice too...and the engine wasn't even broken in, it had like 15km on it! I could smell the slight burning smell that guys in the US are talking about.
Saw a blue premium at Newmarket and the thing is quite nice. I'm dying to see the 2 silver colors though, the lighter and darker one (from the TO autoshow).

The salesman actual got this approved by the manager himself. This was the day they first got the RA in.
Weird eh?

The variations between dealerships are just a function of the relative health of dealerships -- Mitsubishi in Canada is on the brink of viability (judging by national sales figures as well as various business articles), and it stands to reason that a lot of their dealerships are also on the brink. Here in Fredericton, I gave up on bargaining with the Mitsubishi dealership over Ralliart pricing a long time ago -- I could bargain, but I might end up paying the price by having to get service at the dealership in Moncton (two hours' drive) if I contribute to the dealership being pushed past the brink. In the GTA you're obviously lucky to have a wide range of choices, but even there you should beware the risk of putting the most conveniently located dealer out of business by buying farther afield...
Well, just got off the phone with my friend who got the deal I wrote in my previous post. He just called me as he received a call from Brampton Mitsu. Turns out the sales guy who assisted him is now playing ignorance and of course, is not honouring the 0% he initially quoted (not surprising.)
So it's basically 5.8% for 60 months which sounds right. The MSRP charged was 30,096 for a base black ralliart, after freight, taxes, etc. it is 35k flat OTD.

[QUOTE=aestival;6312716]That's wrong -- the premium MSRP in Canada is $37,998 -- which works out to the $39,493 price that you list.

I just listed the subtotal of $38248, which includes the $250...big deal.
Just noticed on the Mitsu Canada site for the RA that they're offering 3.8% finance for 36months
...much better then the crappy 5.8%
I was at the dealer last week and didn't see any 3.8% for anything, it was 0% for all Lancers, 5.8% for Evo and RA, salesman didn't know about any other rate for the RA...hope this is new.

K fellas, here's how my visit turned out. Doesn't look like they are going to negotiate at all on these puppies yet. I was even told and I quote "since you'll be buying the first Ralliart, it will only go for MSRP" to which I replied, "so I have to be the first sucker? No thanks!"
Anywho, for those that are considering the 60/84 plan on a Premium RA, you're payments will look like this:
$500 down.
268 bi-weekly (taxes in)
12k balance at 60 months due.
This is based on 4.8% financing, not 5.8%.
They are definitely nice in person, especially when you sit inside with the leather recaros.
My salesguy wanted to close it on my first visit, which I obviously denied due to the fact it'll be 44k for an RA when all is said and done, lol. With that said, the 4.8% is basically a line of credit-type percentage, so its not actually bad at all.

I thought only the EVO MR got leather recaros? Wasn't the Ralliart only to come with the GSR cloth recaros?
why dont get an evo gsr?
someone here was qouted for $36,xxx plus the interest rate now is low for the evo x.
