ECUTEK Tuning for TLC's EVO owners

I have been spending some time at FourStar Motorsports and have been inquiring into getting a good deal on tuning for the EVO... the price for tuning is steep,, but the end result is well worth it. Just 2 months ago they beat their own records of having the fastest Subaru in Canada. Just crazy....

Taken from their newsletter....

"The long weekend of October 10th, is the weekend to remember for WarWagon. Setting a new personal best 1/4 mile time of 10.80 at 129 MPH. As well as being the FASTEST Subaru in Canada, this was accomplished on a tune done by Four Star's own Frank Sprongl using EcuTek tuning software!"

We are close to getting a fixed % off his standard firm price.

More on this as we get closer to the Dyno Day.

update:
so far we are at 13% off the standard price. But as time goes by the price may drop with the projects we are doing thru them.

I could be completely wrong I thought the standard price was 1300, not sure I thought i over head something between another guy and frank but I could be dead wrong, best way to find out what a standard tune costs is call.

Either way , we should be able to shake down the price a bit as more and more business gets directed towards FourStar.

But in terms of tuning just not that they will have your car for the entire day for the tuning. Also I suggest what ever mods you want on your car you put it on now, exhaust intake and blah blah blah, since the littlest thing can throw off a tune or miss out on potential gains. Especially when it comes to the INJEN intake which does add 2 psi of boost .

i have been the price down a little, but not by much more... if we go in together i will see what other discounts I can get, but from what I understand is ECUTEK isnt cheap to begin with anywhere.

So is the price closer to the $1600 or the $1300? Just wanted a ball park figure.
If we have them tune with the ECUtek, then in the future, we add some more mods, do we have to pay the full price for another tune or just the cost of the dyno and tune time?

no i dont think so cause that would just be wrong, I am guessing but i am sure there would be a huge difference since all the dyno history is in the computer already.

Best way to find out is call.

i remember him asking 1600$ at the dyno meet. That's kinda expensive for a custom tune considering you come out of there with nothing in hand, and when you need to reflash it back to stock in case something goes wrong, you dont have the option of doing that unless you hall it back to his place.

It seems the Acessport is the better option and 1/2 the cost. Mainly applies to us EVO owners, but if your gonna drop 1600 on a normal lancer for minimal gains, you gotta ask yourself is it worth it.

Although the Acessport you dont get the kind of gain you see in custom tune, its gives you more value and control in your hands. Plus you can physically see were your money went
