I currently have a ECUTEK cable(says Subaru Interface on it) and would like to use it with EVOSCAN/ECUFLASH for my Evo 8/9. I was wondering, has anyone tried to use it this way? It seems like ECUTEK uses the same cable for Subaru and Mitsubishi line, Just like the tactrix cable does. I have searched but nothing has come up, any help or guidance is appriciated. The ECUTEK cable was used on my 2004 Subaru STI.

It looks like you might be able to log the car but you won't be able to flash it since it does not have the reflash connector.

Yes that's the cable, except no indicator light and its black.

 

If that's what it is, at best you'd be able to log the car. You need a 2nd connector to actually be able to flash the ECU
