US Warranty

If I purchase an Evo from the states and bring it to Canada, does the warranty carry over?

I've heard many people say it does not, however, I have also heard a few people say that it is illegal to not honour the warranty in Canada.

When I started to look for my evo I did some research on the warranty thing. Basically the legal end of it is that if you purchase an Evo with intent to import then the warranty is void. That said, if you purchased an evo and moved/ relocated from the states to Canada they would legally have to provide warranty coverage to you.
Its sucks, because when I first started to look the dollar was still at like 96-98cents...
So I bought up here

You can always get a private warranty, then you can do whatever you want.

Bring it up, go to a Mitsu dealership in Canada and buy a Warranty.

if your close to the boarder, like Toronto, and need serious warranty work, then just tow it to Buffalo.
