Warranty on imported Evo

just wondering if the US warranty is cancelled once the Evo is imported to Canada or I can still go down to the states for warranty.

No warranty at Canadian dealerships, but warranty if you go down to the states.

are you sure ? I was under the impression that US warranty gets VOID once you import and register it in Canada. So I can take my Canadian regged Evo to a dealer in the US for warranty coverage ?

according to this site. once you have registered, warranty is gone.

Subaru on the other hand, you can get warranty work done in canada, but have to email the receipt to Subaru of USA to get your money back.

F' it, just import the car. the money you are saving. I am sure you can take 5,000 to 10,000 dollars and repair your own car, just short of a nuclear melt down of the engine or tranny.

thats why im afraid of ever importing an SST.

at least with a GTR there are plenty of options for tranny upgrade.....or just dont launch it. eventhough with the new LC update for them its now possible to launch with VDC on, i still wouldnt do it since Nissan does not honor warranty either : /

After all that i still want one
