Warranty work

Just wondering if any EVO X owners in Canada have had to do any warranty work. I'm seriously considering importing a used EVO X from the states once RIV updates its admissable list. I know if you buy from the states there is no warranty but the price of a EVO in the states is so temping. Is it too risky to buy a car without warranty?

Another way to look at it.... Do you know any warranties that cost $10,000? There may be companies you can you to get a warranty if you really want one...

more importantly, make sure your insurance company will cover a U.S imported Evo. because the industry was against it, I'm sure there will be a difference in the premiums.

That's a good question. Never thought about insurance. Just thought that since it is the same car that the premiums would be the same.

Chinster, did you buy the WW EVO from burlington? That one had a sold sign on it. It looks amazing with the skirt package. I was told by th e saleperson that there was very little wiggle room ( I think a few hundred only). They seemed to have many EVO GSRs avaliable in Burlington. I think I counted 5-6.

i bought my back in March and paid full retail for it - $50k. If you can wait till Sept or so, I firmly believe there will be more "wiggle" room to play with the price. I did finance it, but i put a huge downpayment, so my monthly are the same as my old ralliart. I've got some more goodies coming soon, so keep posted here or on MCCC for my evo project.

Guys - if your buying from Mitsu Autopark in Burlington, just mention you also a member of MCCC; probably doesn't mean you will get a discount though, but maybe they throw in something for you?
