Well, I just went out and took some pics of my car. I obviously couldn't take pictures of EVERY scratch but here's a few of them... This is so rediculous. I have never been so shocked by the ****ty quality of a car in my life.

Front Driver's Side Tire

Rock Chip On Hood (one of them)

Scratches on Side Skirt

More Scratches and Rust Spot

Weird SandBlasting Effect, Drivers Side Rear Tire

More Scratches

More Scratches

More Rusty Spots

SandBlasting Effect on Passenger's Side Rear Tire

Hood

Another Scratch Down the Side
And this is only a handful .... like WTF... I'll never buy a Mitsu again and certainly won't be telling anyone else to buy one. Not if they're all like this!!
Post your scratches!

That IS my car clean... that's just what it looks like now.
Same set of pictures:

And I don't care what anyone says, paint should NOT scratch like that. Not that easily.
ALSO, the stupid piece of shat wouldn't start for me again today. Kept rollin over but wasn't firing.
I'm actually starting to dislike my car.

I have the same type of scratchs as you so don't worry it's not just you.
It was too sunny for me to take pics of all the paint damage yesterday or else Id have hundreds of pics up on this site.
From a distance it looks like brand new until you get close to it

Yeah. From far away you can only see the really big ones but still....
I had plans to actually show my car and win more trophies but I dunno if I can when it's so scratched like that. People pay great detail to that kind of thing, they pretty much want perfection.
Maybe I can buff some of the smaller ones out or something... I dunno... I'm just really frustrated with it right now.

ahah i hear ya on that one
honestly with all the sand and salt they put on the roads in the winter and all the rocks on the road it should be expected for paint to scratch when you drive the car everyday, not much you can do about it

Wow that IS bad and I have the same color as OP... question though, did any of you wax your car? I waxed in pretty much right after I got mine and it seems to help to protect the paint since it adds another layer on top of the thin paint.
Guess I should've gotten silver...
And I don't think driving it everyday is the cause... My mom's driven her Cavalier everyday since 2003 and its not scratched like mine...
This is just from one winter. It sat the first winter I had it...
