Evolution Sighting
A number of Evos slipped into Canada somewhat legally prior to Transport Canada putting on their prohibited cars - this may be one of the cars.
Also Mitsubishi has given Evo VIII's to Canadian journalist to drive and I suspect that they are Canadian registered which is certainly possible for a manufaturer.

wow, talk about raising the dead
yes there was news about this, i haven't followed it up recently though...it was an evoVII that jeff saw and followed to georgetown and the shop that had it was selling it since they realized they couldn't register it...they wanted $40-$45 i think
as for evo VIII's being in canada, there were a very select few that were registered here as "lancers" before transport canada put them on the blacklist

Well, After the Blacklist and inadmissible status of the EVO VIII, I haven't thought of a potential way to bring the EVO back to Canada. It seems that you are right, in that all of the EVOs with Ontario/Can plates may have slipped through the cracks before the Government caught on and listed that It can't be in Canada.
If anybody, has any updates for what to do to bring an EVO into canada and register it legally it would be appreciated..
Has anyone spoken to the owners of these EVOs with Canadian plates......
As for me, I'm gonna keep on dreamin....
