Saw a 2009 Canadian Evo X...

...yesterday at local dealer. So beside Ralliart Black Tail Lights, I can confirm to you that all 09' Evo X will have normal rear diffuser like U.S. and rest of others. No more extend rear diffuser for Canadian!

I think I already get use to it and like the extend diffuser so much now coz look more macho for me...lol

FYI

cool.. I still prefer the with the extended diffuser... To me, it still looks better and alot more protection for the rear bumper...

Was just at the Auto Show the other day looking at the 2009 model...nothing's changed. LOL. Just the rear bumper and tail lights. The Cdn 2009 model doesn't even get the cup holder cover! Interestingly enough, the car at the show also didn't have the undertrays/covers, although that's probably because its a dealer installed thing.

Also had a chance to sit in the Subie...wow our seats are soooo much better. Their driving position/posture seems a little more comfy though. (They have such puny intercoolers...ehehehhee)

the 08 evo rear diffuser, looks more manly and mocho, the 09 is like its trying to be more conservative or something. Its a beast, make it look like one I say. Although there are new rear brake lights, you can also get those as an option on 08 also. So basically nothing has changed.

A little interior tweek here and there, but all and all, its the same thing.

I definitely concur regarding the seats. I sat in the WRX265 at the Toronto autoshow and man the Mitsu Recaro's are soo much better in terms of support. I found the Subie seats to be much softer. The driving position was a bit better because of their telescoping wheel, something I wish the Mitsu had.
