Tinting

Thinking of tinting my windows this week. Just want to know if you guys had it done and what % of tint you guys used. I don't want to go too dark, just dark enough for some privacy. Not too light either. If you guys have any pics of your Yellow Lancer with Tinted windows, i would like to see.

Thanks.

You realize tinting a car that your modifying is just asking for a ticket?

Cops go wild on tints all the time.....that's why i don't tint

I've been driving my old car with tinted windows for 4 years, never been bothered by police for it. whenever i get pulled over ( which i have been many times) at night, i usually lower the rear window too so they can see inside. Police are usually cautious about that, because they can't see inside when approaching the vehicle.

Ya..... cops are just afraid that your car is soooo suped up that you can probably out run their crappy Impalas.

By law, you're allowed to tint down to 20% for the driver and passenger windows, and 5% for the rear passenger and windshield.

You're also allowed to tint up to a 3-inch (I think) stripe across the top of the front windshield.

Personally, I like my car to look even all around, so I have 20% all around. No sun stripe across the front though, that was on my old Civic.

There's sooooo many civics n accords running around with tint that turned purple or bubbled...that's another reason I don't like it.

Also I prefer to see clearly around all side of my car....keep it race car-esque

Last tint job i got gave me a 10 year warranty for peeling and bubbling. So, im not too worried about that. I'm probably going to do a 20% all around Tint.
