Thinking About Trade-In

Alright guys so I think it might come down to this, I'm thinking about trading in my 2009 Ralliart with Premium Package. Currently financed since Feb 2009. What should I do, trade in or attempt to sell?

if you trade it in they will roll over what your still owe into your new payment.

So if you sill owe say 25 grand and you get a evo 8 or 9 for 25 grand your now making payments for $50 grand.

Its probably better to sell, either way I'd say your f l_l Cked since your going to take a huge loss no matter what.

You are always going to be better off selling yourself, as dealerships tends to lowball you. However, it seems like nothing is selling right now, so it's kind of up to you. Doesn't hurt to throw your car up on the private classfieds for a few weeks to see if it sells.

to get the most $ your best bet is to sell it privately. The most a dealer will give you on trade in is the wholesale value, which is quite pathetic...but it saves you the hassle of selling privately though.

Don't know how fast the cars are moving privately but the ones that are posted on Kijiji and Autotrader are asking for quite alot considering the mileage on some of them.

this one is saying they've got 350hp to the wheels!!! for $30k...would love to see the dyno sheet)

i would try selling it privately, if you insist of doing the trade, you will loose $$$ bigtime. Or if you look the other way, you will just rack up some more liabitlities/monthly payments.
