chevron with ethanol

chevron has recently put 10% ethanol in their gas to meet canadas climate action plan for cleaner emissions. the gas has allready been put into the tanks around the lower mainland . so for those of you with tunes , you may need to retune for the altered gas that is now at the pumps.

just a heads up

chevron and Husky has been putting "up to 10%" Ethanol for a while now, like early 2000 lol.

back on the east coast Shell runs 5% Methanol i beleive on their 91oct V-power.....94oct dont exist there.

while a lot of gas station dont really advertise it, its either 5% Methanol or 10% Ethanol, thats the highest they want to run without damaging cars that arnt exactly compatable with it.

you're fuel economy will be affected, i doubt it will throw any tunes off, seeing that Ethanol is higher octane than average gas, your current tune will only be safer to run.

A retune will help if you in the quest for max power, although not mandatory being only 10% ethanol.

the 94 octane does not get the ethanol but the other octanes do. also note that 92 octane has dropped a point to 91 octane due to the ethanol.

So I wasn't going crazy when I saw the 92 disappear. The gas attendant thought I was drunk or something! Good thing they didn't touch my 94
