Goodbye Octane 94 from Husky :(
Was a sad day last week when I pulled into a Husky station. They had 91 stickers on top of all their 94 pumps and even the gas attendant didn't know. Emailed customer support and here's what I got
Dear customer,
Thank you for your e-mail regarding our 94 Octane fuel. The discontinuation of our premium 94 Octane fuel comes as a result of changes to regulations that restrict the Reid Vapour Pressure (RVP) of gasoline. RVP measures the volatility of gasoline. In short, the addition of ethanol to gasoline adds to the overall RVP of the product.
For some time, Husky has received special allowance to produce and distribute our ethanol-blended 94 Octane gasoline; however, this allowance is no longer in place and as a result, our suppliers have chosen not to continue to provide Husky with our premium fuel.
The unfortunate outcome, as you've experienced, is that we can no longer provide our ethanol-blended premium fuel to our customers. Husky still supplies high-quality, ethanol-blended regular & mid-grade (87 & 89 Octane) and 91 Octane (no ethanol) fuel at most locations across the province.
We know this is a disappointment and for this, we apologize. We sincerely hope that you will continue to choose Husky and Mohawk for our other exceptional products and services, as well as for your refuelling needs.
Kind Regards,
Husky Customer Service

weak sauce.
our evo ran smoother on husky/mohawk 94 oct vs chevron. ive always preferred them too because i get points towards my bcaa membership.
now theres no point of going there for gas. that is sad face.

this is going to suck supremely.
my current tune knocks on Chevron's 94 octane, i have to turn the boost down to 21psi to stop it from knocking.
ive been happy with Husky for the past 2 months. i guess thats coming to an end....
i dont really want to drive back down there to get retune for GAS : /

who ever approved this recent frigging take over need to be shot. (joking of course) but seriously, I have no frigging clue where to find 94 these days. It was simple in the past, Sunoco . now its all backwards.

i knock on our Chev 94 on mainland and here on the island after getting tuned on the 92.
Aaron who tuned my car also mentioned that the more canadian 94 hes tuned, the more it feels like a US 91 Octane.
im starting to beleive it.

US Chevron 92 Octane is better than our Chevron 94. I was tuned on US Chev's 92 oct.

our 91 is probably ****!
I think the difference could be that Husky's 94 contains 10% ethanol, and Chev's 94 does not.
i guess i might as well get tuned on chev's 94 oct the next time i go down.
i just filled up at Husky tonight, and 94 oct is till here.
scary enough, as i was filling up, their giant gas tanker transport pulled into the station :X :X :X
