<Calgary> Anyone else getting, Loud start up noises?

My car sounded pretty awful when it started up at -30. Then I got a service required message, and Mitsu says I need to replace the ACD Pump. $4k out of pocket, not covered by warranty. FML.

Why is it not covered?
