You have higher speed front bumper impact requirements than the US and Mitsubishi couldn't be bothered redesigning the front end again.

Couldn't you buy and register an Evo in one of the states that border Canada, and just drive it into Canada???

I don't think that he is allowed to import an "illegal" product. The Canadian DMV may refuse to register the car, he may be denied insurance and so forth... I know, move to America

I suspect that they have a US citizen or resident driving it, as otherwise the vehicle is subject to Canadian Customs' seizure.

It's a business car, that law is not applicable.

I've seen a EVO in the newspaper in Toronto for $43,000 with 9,000km on it. I know that my Mitsubishi dealership was getting a EVO for a customer...

actually a lot of dealerships around heree have been getting evo's....in fact, my dealership (burlington) has one sitting in their showroom....the deal is that they are going through a lot of red tape right now to try and convince the gobernment to let them license the car if they do the mods to the front re-bar, drl's, and child restraint system...the price will be $45,500 CDN when they can sell them
