Just like wheel shake...but wierd
Just like wheel shake...but wierd
Hey everyone,
I just posted this in the Evo general, but thought I'd come to you guys specifically, as I think the issue might be tied to the roads here...
I've been having a wheel shake problem for a while now. I've had all of the major suspension components recently changed, with no result. I've had a complete wheel rebalance and realignment done. Also no change.
The weird thing is though that the problem isn't constant. I only really feel it above about 60mph, and on certain stretches of road I won't feel it at all. I can be doing 75, 80mph and it'll be rock solid. The strangest thing is that I know exactly where those stretches of road are on my daily commute, so I know exactly when I will and will not get the shake.
To me, it sounds like a problem with the roads, rather than with the car, since the shaking isn't constant and isn't random. But still, I feel like significant wheel shake isn't normal. Has anyone else experienced this, or have any advice. Greatly appreciate it! Also, I live in Toronto, Ontario. Maybe it's just the way roads are built here??
Cheers everyone!

I have the same issue with my car...same in Toronto...i think its my tires on my aftermarket rims....or the rims itself...i got msr045 which are decent but the tires may be the issue from what im reading.
When I put my stock 16s the issue is non existant leading me to believe rims or tires..
What are you running?
