would be nice but goes against every business practice in history......high demand= premium pricing. aslo if mrsp would be lower, there would still be too much of a demand to sell it at mrsp. one more thing mitsu has maybe 30-40 dealerships in canada, and say every dealer gets 5 evo's. you really think they are updrede bumpers on only 200 cars, i doubt it. not enuff money to be made

it shouldn't make that much of difference cause what Pierre Guignon said was that when Canada gets the evo, it will be the North american evo, so there won't be two different evo's in Canada and the US. If the evo does come to Canada it will have had a facelift from the american one and will be the same everywhere.

Went to the Edmonton car show and was totally pissed off at the Mitsubishi area. Heck yeah they had the Lancer es and the oz but no show on anything evo. I guessed I expected it but still something like brochures or anything heck a model to represent the companies best friggin car they ever made. Allas there was nothing there but a main brochure with all the lines represented. I talked to a few guys there and they all agreed that the evo wont be around till next fall but on a high note you not only will have the Ralliart and Evo 8 but you will have them at cheap prices unlike our American counterparts. As we all know you pay 15large for the base es and our neibors to the south pay something like 17large. Umm if I get the math right we still win if you convert the dollar and see what you should really be paying. Anyways same will go for the Rallifart and Evo or so they stated. So if I get this right the Evo will be cheaper in Canada than the States , hmm I wonder how many down south will notice it and jump the fence to our dealerships?

On a sad note some guy from *estside Mitsubishi put his umm OZ Lancer with the hot imports and funny car section. Yup it looked like a Evo 7 but nope it was just all a facelift and a few mods to make it look like the devil but was just a kitten in disquise. Plus it was sooooo sad to see so many people look at it and say ooooh its a Evo and after a few minutes there excitement went out the door and over to the spoon sittin a few feet away. And yeah the Spoon rocked!!!

I fell in love with the Umm dare I say Ford lines again with the new Focus wagon svt. (Stop laughing) They had it all riced up to the 9's and bearing 2 perdy tanks in the back that took some people by supprise. (Stop laughing) The Lightning was hot but dare I say the SRT-10 rocked the Truck world nasty and thats about all I will say about the domestic evils I now have to dream about.

All in all it was a blast except for the constant hey I can put you in this car tomorrow BS from the Mitsu guys. Yeah sales are good but you have to realize at a show you do what???? SHOW not SELL!! Like I was going to put money down on a friggin eclipse and say to hell with the Evo. Strange but the other dealers representing at the show didnt say one friggin peep about selling they just wanted you to fall inlove with there cars.

BTW, I got the same story at the Autoshow here in Calgary... that we would get the EVO "sometime" in 2004.... yah right. I asked them why not right now, considering Dodge is bringing the SRT-4 with front mount to Canada this year.... they had no idea.

Also, Subaru guy claims the STi will be for sale by mid-summer. Too bad for Mitsu...

i've just talk with the product advisor at the auto show in calgary. they told me that the EVO won't be coming till next summer. also, they said that they will have only 6 quota for each dealership each time(i don't understand why they do that either). anyways, that's what they told me today. hope this help.
