Ok, I'm like really excited about EVO 8, even though I can't get a car yet, since I'm only 15 years old , however, there are some questions which I'm wondering about, and would like to know

1. I've heard about the G9 and stuff, what is that all about? Is that about like EVO8 being the last one? As in that there won't be like an EVO9 and EVO10, if it gets to that high??

2. When you say that they first have to change some of the things so that it'll fit the Canada regulations and stuff, will it make change the EVO8 so much that it will lose it's "touch" if you know what I mean??

 

Ye thats what I wanna kno, will it be a whole re-design, and if so it better look better or just as good as the evo8!!!

 

be honest, i don't really think EVO8 have good looking. i rather keep the look for EVO4-6. that just my opinion. anyways, it still look much better than the subaru for sure........haah!!

 

I headed to LavalMitsubishi last week and the salesman there told me the EVO is coming in February 2004!! Now lets just pray he knew what he was talking about!

I don't think we can put too much on what he said as Mitsubishi has yet to come up with a cost effective design in order to meet Canadian bumper laws. Until they have been able to do that, there is no release date for the Evo in Canada and if the redesign is too much of a problem for them, there won't be a release to Canada as it's just not worth it to sell maybe 500 or so Evos in Canada. I hope I'm wrong!

 

That's very interesting. I talked to a guy from Vancouver at the Vancouver Autoshow and he practically said the same thing, the EVO is coming in Feb 2004.

Who knows if it's true or not, maybe it's only rumours going around the dealer network.

 

I hope this ends up being true. Need to find more info.

if you guys in Canada get an evo VII...i want one too...imma drive up there and bring it back here to Virginia and have the only evo VII.

 

There's tonnes of EVO VII in the U.S. they're all rally spec cars, so they're not road worthy.
