Any facility in Vancouver, Canada or even in WA tunes EVOs with 32 mm restrictor?

Tuning with a restrictor you just have to watch the boost pressure not to work the turbo to hard.

The car will make a lot of torque, but restrict top end. I've tuned about 5 rally cars with restrictors.

If you need a local place for it, since you mentioned WA, try English Racing.

Thanks Tom

Alex,

I have done several rally cars and experimented with various restrictor sizes. Is this for the Evo4 that you have listed or another Evo? What ECU is in the car currently? Contact me via PM or email the shop - sales@englishracing.net

Generally speaking, when tuning turbos with restrictors, it would be quite useful to log compressor inlet pressure.

actually it was EVO X MR
and i said "was" because i found out according to CARS rules i can't turn it into a rally car because "electronically controlled sequential transmission is not allowed"
simple as that. and i'm gonna sell it
i'm currently fixing my subaru (crashed last winter ) and will run couple of next rallies in it. then will see...

You might doublecheck that because Works and Lars Wolfe got a Ralliart into Rally America and grandfathered into CARS somehow.

I actually asked a CARS technical director a few weeks ago ago and he said "definitely NO"
I suppose if it was built in the States and then brought to Canada WITH RA logbook
then most likely it would be a different story. but for a new build here it won't work.
unfortunately things are different here. for example we don't have open light
and I having n/a 2.5RS compete against STi's and WRX's lol
if we had separate class for n/a AWD we'd have more ppl interested in rallying
because it's so much easier and cheaper to run n/a cars.
but that's how it is. at least for now
