i was actually quite surprised after i found out our tranny is made by hyundai. Before i heard our chassis is made by chrysler, and now.... the tranny?
I thought our cars were directly imported from Japan... damn!
This is normal like I said before, its just the torque converter kicking in at @40km/h you feel it also in other type of cars like Hondas and Toyotas too just a bit less, maybe its due to Mitsu electronically controlled ADT system that makes it feel worst.

Mitsu is an industrial giant in Japan for the last 100 years, they build warships, fighter planes, heavy industrial equipment, trucks and cars as part of their corporate accomplishments

I think all Lacers are from Japan. If I remember correctly, it's only the SUV (what's the name of the thing again? You know, the one that's being dropped...), Galant and some others that are assembled in the US... Then again, I think they'll be shutting those plants off as part of their restructuring plans. Plus, their deal with Chrysler is now off, of course...

Chassis is that same as Evo7 i think (with less weld points). To think that chrysler could make something of that calibur on their own is laughable

Galant, Endeavour, Diamantae and Eclipse are assembled in Normal, IL. But the parts are still made in Japan.
