Calling Calgary Lancers

You guys picked up your rides yet? I now have 1600 kms on mine (in 9 days). So far, so good...

So when is the first annual "Calgary O-Z show n' shine?"

How long are you waiting before putting on a coat of wax? Mine has been built for about a month now, so I'm thinking pretty soon... Wanna get some Mother's on there before the weather turns cold.

PHIL

picked it up today... and not even a half an hour later, I put in the Piaa superwhites, and the piaa front turn signal bulbs... overall happy... accelerates well, very impressed at how well the suspension takes.... no... wait.... "attacks" the corners... not as well as my civic, but very impressed for a suspension that came stock.... I take some pics when its clean again (which will probably be tomorrow)...

still debating whether to lightly tint the clear part of the tailllights, and paint the headlight housings black....

What kind of mudflaps did you put on? I was thinking about same, but was wondering if any would even fit, with all that lower body moulding...?

I just went to Canadian tire and bought the cheapies, they weren't meant for the lancer, but i made them fit anyways.. just drill the proper holes, and use 1/4" bolts, coated them with silcone on inside, and sprayed it with the same stuff i undercoated the car with... bought that stuff for canadian tire too

Congrats on picking up Mitsus guys!

I belong to the local DSM club and would like to invite you guys out to our next meeting if you're interested. In fact, Phil I just realized that I know you! I've gone off-roading with my buddy Jeff who's in your Nissan club.

The club meeting will be sometime in the New Year (how's that for specific? ) and we are also planning a show&shine at the Hyatt Mitsubishi (in the Automall) when they have their Grand Opening in the Spring. It'd be great to see you there.

Tom

Count me in for any of the above! I've been waiting for a Calgary Lancer group and have been tempted to start one (I'm about to move right now so have been a little tied up). Has anyone created an organized club just for Lancer owners?

On a similar note, I've been tempted to purchase the domain www.calgarylancers.ca to host webpages for local lancers. Is there any interest?
