Cobb OTS maps - running rich

Here's the setup:

2008 Evo X GSR
Greddy SE catback
Ichiba test pipe with wideband setup
Cobb AP
Nisei UICP
ETS intake

The car is still running quite rich. On a WOT run, it was running 10:1 on the Stage 2, 91 octane OTS Cobb map with no intake. I installed the ETS intake last night, flashed the Stage 2 OTS Cobb LWG map for the cobb intake, and it is still running 10:1 at WOT. When I looked at the notes, it looks like it should be in the 11's. I'm getting tired of blowing smoke and cleaning the back of my car from the excess fuel. I don't really want to get a protune since I will be upgrading the intercooler, turbo, injectors, and fuel pump in a few months.

Do you guys have any recommendations?

Get a protune, you will not regret it. Even if it costs you $400 , it is a good investment in the short run.

Testpipe...Stage 2 OTS maps are designed for a HFC.

I can't see the test pipe causing a rich condition. I would think it would be just the opposite, since they flow more.

I was thinking about trying the map for the stock intake to see if that raises my ratios.

I don't have a wideband....yet, but I noticed that when I go wot, I leave dust like smoke behind. Now I don't know if it's black or not (which is a telltale sign that it's running rich).

I'm running stage 2 acn91.

I'm gonna try and get someone to follow me when I go WOT, and ask to video or tell me if it's coming out of my exhaust or just burning rubber.

There's only one thing that I haven't done that Cobb recommended to do...take the boost pill out. The reason I haven't taken out the boost pill is coz of the fact that according to the AP, I'm hitting 25psi of boost. Again, I don't have a boost gauge so I don't know if I'm really hitting 25psi or not.

Maybe I should buy a boost gauge and a wideband afr? I guess that's next on my list.

I'm under the impression that you KNOW what you are talking about hahaha.
But I e-mailed Cobb once about it ...gave them the mods list ( btw i have the same Ichiba TP as the OP ) and they replied saying that a TP requires a stage 2

This is true, testpipes do require you to run Stage 2, but Stage 2 is still designed with a HFC in mind rather than a testpipe. Testpipes are known to make Stage 2 OTS maps run rich. If you have a wideband on the car it will be very simple to lean the OTS map out a bit using Cobb's ATR (Access Tuner Race) software.

I believe that the AP is more accurate with PSI than a boostgauge. The AP takes it's readings right from the ECU, the boostgauge takes it from a vacuum line, and is not always 100% accurate. This is of course just what I've heard haha.

I had always thought that testpipes would cause a leaner AFR than HFC just because it would allow the turbo to spool more freely... Guess I had my stuff backwards haha
