08 GSR stg 2 93 ocatne 1/4 mile

So just got back from my first time taking my gsr to the track. I didnt really have any expectation but had a bit of faith too!

I had 2 sti in the past, one ver 8 jdm with turbo back and ecutek tune, and a 09 usdm with a cobb stg 2 93 octane so with basicly the same set up i have in my gsr. With both cars i ran 12.5 @ 108 wth my jdm and 110 with the usdm. With both cars i was averaging 12.6-7 @108 with. 1.6-7, 0-60'.

Temperature tonight was 20c. Best run i managed to do was a 13.1 @ 104mph and it was my best lunch at 1.789. Apart from this run i was doing 13.2-3-4 @ 105-6.

i forgot to mention I also had a 02 wrx cobb stg 2 and my best run ever was 13.1 averaveing 13.4. So I thought with a car with an extra 100 hp i could do much better!

Since on almost every dyno graphs I saw comparering sti and evo, the evo had more hp. So again i thought i was going to able to acheive the same kind of number i did with my STI with exact same mods.

Anyway, all that to say that I'm pretty satisfied with the over all performance of the car especially the handlIng part but I have to admit that I'm pretty disapointed with the kind of numbers the car did tonight.

Heres my timesheet:

very nice. When i brought my EvoX to the track when it was brand new with no mods i ran a 13.5@100. So with the stage 2 you ran pretty good and a really good 60'

I actually find my time pretty bad considering you ran 13.5 with your stock one. Im supposed to have like 80hp more than stock. And again with the same turbo back, perrin, and tune, i ran 12.5 @ 110 with my sti. So pretty disapointed with my 13.1.

your times were perfect to have with a stage 2 ots map i got a pro tune and ran a 12.1 so go see a tuner to get your car fine tuned and watch those fractional seconds get shaved off

The EvoX is extremely heavy, and that alone I believe where most of your dissapointment in the timeeslip comes from. Compare weights of the vehicles and see what the difference is.

Yeah Evo X curb weight is like 3625 or something crazy. Take some weight out. That with the stock 4.68 gearing doesn't really make for a great 1/4 mile car.
