Just pulled the trigger on a Cobb AP

Ok guys flame suit is on....
Just bought a Cobb AP and got overnight shipping so hopefully it'll be here by Wednesday.

Anyways, I have a 2010 X, completely stock. I noticed that Cobb has maps for both 91 and 93 octane as well as low and regular wastegate. I'm going to sound like an idiot/newb here and yes I've searched, but I still have a few questions...

1. Getting 93 Octane isn't an issue for me, it's all over the place. That being said, should I go ahead and run the 93 octane map? What is the purpose of the 91 maps anyways? Is it because some people have limited availability on octane levels?

2. What are the wastegate levels? What is the difference in the two, and which one should I run being completely stock?

Was originally going to save money but decided to splurge. Other than the AP car is going to be stock for a while. I just want to make sure I don't install the wrong map and screw something up. Thanks in advance for the help/advice guys!

A decent number of states don't have 93 octane. Oklahoma, California, Nevada, Arizona, I think Kansas and probably more only have 91. Washington, maybe other states only have 92. Use the map for the gas you've got. The low wastegate maps are for if for some reason your car is overboosting on the regular map (it's cold outside, you have a really free flowing exhaust, your car is a magical unicorn, etc.). Try the regular one and if your boost is within what the map says it should be, stick with it. If it's overboosting or you want to be extra safe, use the low wastegate map.

Thanks!
So I've heard a lot about knock problems with using the AP stage 1 maps. Is that just sporadic, or does it happen pretty often? What exactly causes the knock? H***, what is knock?

I actually think I'm going to get rid of it. Honestly there are to many shops around me that will do tuning that is reliable versus an OTS map that is not as reliable/consistent. Plus we all know that Cobb's support is lacking in the Evo department.
