K&N drop in filter, which ap map?

So i accidentally bought a K&N drop in instead of a HKS. I can still take it back, and have not installed it, but is there a map that will go well with the K&N? I can't find one on the cobb site, but I am running a stock X at Stg 1 93 octane.

Thanks.

I thought with a stg1 map your supposed to atleaset have a CBE?

either way you shouldnt run a stg2 till you have a TBE.

intake doesnt affect the stage of the map. meaning you can run a stg2 map with TBE w/ either stock intake or CAI.

think you misread my post, or just misunderstood. I could care less about stages, that is just what the map is called for an "otherwise stock evo with stock exhause, cbe is excepted". Stage 1 does not need a cbe stage one is stock.

I am just wondering how the drop in filter is going to effect the AFR, and what map is there to accommodate the K&N.

There is a specific map for HKS drop in but not K&N.

Run the HKS map with the K&N filter. It will be fine.

Did you ask Cobb? If not, do that. It's their tuning tool. They'll know the right answer with 100% certainty. Call them, PM them on here, send them an email. So many ways to reach them and ask this question.

I did send an email about 2 hours ago. Just wanted to talk it over here as well. Thanks though I didn't think to call. Nice to be back in an American time zone haha!

I always make the suggestion to contact the tuner or company directly because you'll get wildly varied information from people on here...especially when it comes to the Cobb maps and which parts work with which maps. And, since it's your car and it affects the tune and motor, you want to be 100%. Glad that you got in touch with them and they answered your question. Cobb is very good about getting back to customers

Been running it for a while with no issue. Although I have seen small amounts of knock but don't think it is from the filter. Going to get a Cobb intake soon anyway.
