Cobb stage 3 possible with this setup?
Cobb stage 3 possible with this setup?
Hey guys. So I pre ordered the Cobb AP V3 and should have it first week of Septemeber. Now my mods currently on the car are as follows-
-ETS V2 CBE
-ETS UICP
-ETS INTAKE
I have the Grimmspeed EBCS and Ultimate racing test pipe with mini muffler waiting to be installed once the Cobb comes in.
Now my question is if I install the test pipe and EBCS is that okay to to run the Cobb stage 3 maps? I know that the ETS intake doesn't have a map from Cobb but it used the stock MAF so would it still be fine?
I want to get an Etune some day but for now will I be able to go stage 3 or should I just go stage 2 and not install the Grimmspeed? I will also be installing my AEM wideband so I can keep an eye on the air to fuel ratio. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

I would suggest returning the Grimspeed and getting Cobb's 3-port which is what their Stage 3 OTS map was designed around. The Grimspeed and Cobb are very similar in construction and design, but that is of no indication that their tuning values will be identical. If you do keep the Grimspeed, make sure you monitor your boost very closely at first.
The rest of your setup should be "close enough."

They're actually both made by the same company; both MAC valves. Just because their similar on the outside though doesn't make them identical internally. I'm not saying they are in fact different, I'm just saying they could possibly be slightly different in the exact spec they were built to so monitor your boost closely to ensure you're hitting the targeted boost levels.

Ohh okay. Makes sense. I guess I will just install it all and then keep an on my AFR, boost and knock count? lol
